Brevard, NC – Bevella Jean Tuggle, 90, peacefully passed with her husband Tom by her side on September 30, 2021. She was born December 26, 1930, the daughter of David and Joyce Ramsey.

Bevella was married to Thomas G. Tuggle. Together they shared a large family, including 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Prior to her retirement she spent many happy years in Muskegon, Michigan, the last of which were spent at Big Blue Lake. In 1997 Tom and Bev moved to North Carolina. Bev loved to travel and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Transylvania County after retirement. Bev was an avid reader and shared her enthusiasm for books while working in the public schools as a librarian. Bev also had an interest in genealogy, tracking her family’s roots back hundreds of years.

In addition to her husband Tom, Bev is survived by her children, Robert Snyder Jr. (Jane), Donna Oberle, Terri Cranney, Tammi Shaw (Jim), Toni Windquist (Craig), Thomas M. Tuggle (Julie); in addition to her 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. All of her grandchildren knew they were “her favorite”. She made them all feel special.

Bev was predeceased by her husband Robert Snyder, her daughter Janice Lynne, and her granddaughter Toni Jean Snyder.

A private service for immediate family was held at one of Bev’s favorites spots, the chapel at Pretty Place, in South Carolina. Those who wish to remember Bev in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Transylvania County Habitat for Humanity, 692 Ecusta Rd., Brevard, NC 28712.
