Granny one amazing woman in my life. From Childhood to adulthood you were always there. I remember hanging out on Friday nights , ordering in ribs and watching scary movies. We then got up Saturday mornings and headed off to the restaurant to work. While you did your prepping and I watched Mickey Mouse club house. Phil made us breakfast and then we opened. I served the tables water, refilled coffee and worked at the cash register. You shared your tips with me and taught me how nothing in life is free. Our trips to Virginia for family get togethers, you would be so mad after we came from the fields after riding the dune buggies all Day muddy as hell and spray us down with the hose,. 🤣🤣🤣 all the bed time stories growing up. Learning how to take the bus, and t"ER}L". I went from being able to wearing your shoes to growing out of them. I still collect all my change in jars. All the visits and activities with Aunt Georgia and Church on Sundays. The many many many Years of Mothers Day Brunch until we all got food poising that one year 🤣🤣🤣. Then I became a mom. You loved the hell out of all my boys and Macho and they loved you more. "Grandma with the elevator" your home was always home for me. A safe place, great conversations, some we agree to disagree but you were forever caring and loving. Biscuits and gravy (bacon grease, not sausage) dying your hair because you are not gonna walk around looking like a hot mess. A promise I made. Your were one strong willed woman. You went from Ma Barker, to Ma Tweety to Grandma to Granny. Family is important and you made sure we knew that and instilled it. My heart hurts so much but you gave us so many memories that will forever live on in our hearts. I wish I could see when you made it to heaven and were reunited with your husband you lost so young in marriage, got to see Mamaw, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Georgia, Siblings, and Emilio. All family that has proceeded you. I love you and know you will continue to watch us from the heavens.
