Obituary For Irving "Skip" Joel Atinsky

Irving "Skip" Joel Atinsky, 82, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2021 at Mountain View Assisted Living. He was born April 24, 1939, to the late Max and Sylvia Miller Atinsky.

Irving served in the US Army, serving as military police after the Korean war. He also, served in National Guard Reserves. Survivors include his son, Joel Eric Atinsky and fiancée, Cathleen Bower of Hendersonville; brother-in-law, Ray McDaniels; nephew, Randy McDaniels; nieces, Christi Hutcherson, Cori Schroepfer and Lori O'Brien.

Funeral services will be held at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors at 12 noon on July 23, 2021.

Dad, We think about you always, we talk about you still. You have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain. To walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.

    We at St. Vincent's Primary Care loved Mr. Atinsky- he would always brighten our day by singing an Elvis song to us. We will always, always remember him and his kind ways. love to you Skip, Jennifer, Shelly, Becky

    Joel, I'm terribly sorry to hear of your father. Although I never had the honour to meet your Dad I do know that he raised an outstanding son. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
