Bobbie “Jean” Killerlane January 28, 1938 - July 31, 2020

Bobbie “Jean” Killerlane, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 31, 2020 after a short illness.  She was born on January 28, 1938 in Spartanburg County, SC and raised by her loving Aunt Jackie and Uncle Robert Dyson in South Miami, FL.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Denis James Killerlane; and her daughter, Denise Killerlane Winkler.

She graduated from Southwest High School in Miami, FL and attended Miami-Dade Community College. She met the love of her life (her Marine) Denis James Killerlane in South Miami and they married in 1957.  They resided in FL until 1996 when they moved to Hendersonville, NC to live close to their friends on Castleton Lane.

Jean loved the mountains, reading and gardening.  Often, early in the morning, you could find her in her flowers wearing her sweet smile.  She attended Immaculate Conception Church in Hendersonville.

Surviving her is a daughter, Lisa Killerlane; granddaughter, Rachel Winkler; cousin, Robert Brook and lifelong friends, Gerri and Hal Gordon, Jr.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you made a donation to The Alzheimer’s Association .

We will always carry memories of friends and neighbors in our hearts.

Our precious Bobbie Jean. We had so much fun over the 63 Years that we knew each other. Our times in South Miami, Florida with our Marines. The times in the Florida Keys, the birth of our babies and celebrating birthdays. Such good memories. Happy that Denis made the decision to follow us to these beautiful mountains. You were such a kind person. There was not a thing that you would not do for your family or friends. We are so thankful that you went to your final place of rest without suffering for a long period of time. Thank You for being a wonderful friend and for letting Hal tease you constantly. He enjoyed that. God is Good. Our Love , Gerri and Hal
