Mark Delford Peer September 5, 1956 - March 2, 2019

Mark Delford Peer, 62, passed away suddenly on March 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Grace and Delford Peer; a sister, Stacie Lee Toscano; and most recently, his dedicated and faithful companion, his dog, Leo.

Born September 5, 1956 he was raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and brought to Fort Myers with his family to experience a sunny life.  A resident of North Carolina for the past year he lived in Sarasota and Fort Myers, FL since 1971.  Mark worked most of his adult life in the antique clock industry and owned an antique shop in Sarasota.  He was a lifetime member (no.14) of the NAWCC Clock Association and was involved. in the Sarasota Chalk festival for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, politics and was an avid gardener. Mark had much love for nature and spent many hours exploring the art of life and all its glory. His heart was bigger than all the stars and he helped all those he knew, in need. He always had a joke or a gentle word, his passion for life and his family, was astounding.

Mark is survived by his long time, beautiful and loving wife, Marie France Herman, of North Carolina; nine siblings, Gene Peer (Carrie) of Cape Coral, Kathleen Peer Kleinmann of Washington, PA, Nancy Peer of Fort Myers, David Peer of Fort Myers, Vernon Peer (Janet) of Cape Coral, Darrel Peer (Renee) of Cape Coral, Christian Peer (Renna) of Orlando, Curt Peer of Cape Coral and Brian Peer of Cape Coral; many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. 

Mark will be sadly missed by his family and friends but the joy of his life will live in our hearts forever.

    Mark I am still shocked at your sudden passing although I hurt , I know your friends and family hurt even more, I send my true condolences to his wife and family and friends, and still to this day will never forget you and appreciate everything you did ,the joy the passion the knowledge you shared with me in the antique clock business
